There is one vice in my life that I don’t know if I will ever give up: coffee.
I ♥ coffee.
I ♥ coffee.
I ♥ coffee.
Did I mention I love coffee?
One thing I need to work on though, is watching my caffeine intake. Unfortunately, I despise decaffeinated coffee. It tastes terrible and they do horrible things to my precious little coffee bean in order to decaffeinate it. (at least in most cases)
I liken it to the conversation that Sam and Joon had in the film Benny & Joon when they were talking about raisins.
Sam: You don’t like raisins?
Joon: Not really.
Joon: They used to be fat and juicy and now they’re twisted. They had their lives stolen. Well, they taste sweet, but really they’re just humiliated grapes. I can’t say I am a big supporter of the raisin council.
Sam: Did you see those, those raisins on TV? The ones that sing and dance and stuff?
Joon: They scare me.
Sam: Yeah me too
Joon: It’s sick. The commercial people they make them sing and dance so people will eat them.
Sam: It’s a shame about raisins.
So it is with my beautiful coffee bean. Why must they steal their lives by adding chemicals and things we don’t want in our bodies in order to remove the caffeine? The answer is, they don’t.
Let me introduce you to my new favorite, *naturally caffeine free*, non-acidic, rich and steamy, sweet and bold, cup of utter deliciousness! Teecino Herbal Coffee Tee-Bags.
Do you see this picture? Not only is it organic and naturally caffeine free, but it comes in a multitude of flavors. Yes, that is chocolate you see there. And caramel. And vanilla nut. The really fun part? This is only the tip of the iceberg! Wooo hoo!
As you can see, I ordered 3 of the chocolate (bulk, from Amazon) and then one each of the Dandelion Caramel Nut and the Vanilla Nut. I had already tasted the chocolate, thanks to my lovely friend Erica who sent me some to try all the way from Ohio. (It was love at first sip!) I decided to try a couple of the other flavors while I was at it, just to see if they were as good.
I can say for certain that the Dandelion Caramel Nut is fantabulous! It has a sweet and creamy flavor that will satisfy any sugar craving. I wasn’t as crazy about the Vanilla Nut, but it wasn’t bad. Just not my fave.
One thing that I love about these coffees (other than the organic status) is that they come in these wonderful little Tee-Bags, which means I can make just one cup at a time. They also have such a great flavor that I don’t have to add any sugar to them at all if I don’t want to. They aren’t bitter like a lot of coffees are, so I just add a touch of milk and I’m ready to sit back and relax. *insert contented sigh here*
Here are the links to the exact products I purchased on Amazon, in case you want to give any of them a try and you don’t have them in your local stores.
