Good morning, all!
Actually, it will probably be afternoon (or later) before this gets posted and read, but that’s ok. It is morning right now.
After pulling an all-nighter Wednesday/Thursday and going 30+ hours without sleep, I finally crashed last night a little after 8:00 PM and slept for a good 10 hours. YAY!!!! I woke up this morning before dawn, waited for my honey to get up, then had coffee with him before he left for work. Such a nice change. I know all of you fellow insomniacs are rejoicing with me right now. *fist bump*
I have to tell you, it is a glorious autumn morning here in NW Montana! While the sun is shining brilliantly, it is more than cold enough to warrant my leggings, hoodie, and long, fuzzy slouch socks. As I stepped out onto the porch, I could see my breath forming puffy clouds in front of me and I was once again reminded of God’s goodness.
The starlings are whistling, the robins are chirping, and the sparrows are tweeting; it sounds like I have stepped into an aviary. The chickens are up scratching around and doing the things that chickens do, while the sparrows swoop in and out of their yard pen to join them for breakfast. The leaves on the trees are brilliant shades of green, gold, orange, and fiery red. The beauty of this world God has created never ceases to amaze me, and I am so thankful to live in such a gorgeous state.
As I sit here in my overstuffed chair, drinking my coffee and tapping out this post on my laptop, I am listening to Matt Redman’s new CD, Glory Song. What a great way to start the day! As it says in Psalms 92:1-4 (TLB):
“It is good to say thank you to the Lord, to sing praises to the God who is above all gods. Every morning tell him, “Thank you for your kindness,” and every evening rejoice in all his faithfulness. Sing his praises, accompanied by music from the harp and lute and lyre. You have done so much for me, O Lord. No wonder I am glad! I sing for joy.”
Thanks to our friends at FlyBy, I also have a copy to give away to one of my readers. Now, isn’t that a fun way to start out the weekend?
How gorgeous is the artwork on this album cover?! Just seeing the bright, swirly colors makes me happy.
Now, here is a peek at one of the songs on the CD, so you can know what you have to look forward to:
Matt Redman teamed up with several of his worship-artist friends for this album, first releasing the track “Gracefully Broken (feat. Tasha Cobbs Leonard).” Tasha Cobbs Leonard also released her own version of this song on the same day! The album also features Kierra Sheard, Guvna B, Madison Cunningham, and Kim Walker-Smith.
