Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when your kiss your little baby, you’ve kissed the face of God?
This has been one of my favorite songs since the very first time I heard it. When I hear the line that says, “And when you kiss your little baby, you’ve kissed the face of God”, I still get the tinglies up and and down my spine.
Can you imagine?
Can you imagine rocking a child that would one day save the world?
Can you imagine holding the little boy that would one day heal people across the land?
Can you imagine kissing your baby, and knowing that you were literally kissing the face of God?
Oh, how blessed Mary must have felt to have been chosen, but what an incredibly heavy responsibility at the same time! I have felt completely overwhelmed so many times during the years I was raising my children, and I cannot even begin to imagine how Mary must have felt at times knowing the precious cargo she was entrusted with.
As I was browsing through my Facebook feed this morning I saw that Pentatonix has come out with their version of “Mary Did You Know” this Christmas, and it is truly lovely. You can find it on their album That’s Christmas To Me.
If you haven’t heard of them before, check out the video below. I hope it blesses you today!
