Giveaway #3 – Pirates Code: The Adventures of Mickey Matson

*This giveaway has ended!
Winning entry was #1 – Randi Colby!*

Today’s giveaway is a family friendly movie for the young ones to enjoy.

From the makers of great faith-based movies such as God’s Not Dead, Finding Normal, Marriage Retreat, and Old Fashioned, Pure Flix Entertainment has released another Mickey Matson movie for the adventurers in your family!

FlyBy Promotions recently sent me this movie to review on my blog, and have been kind enough to offer a second DVD to be given away to one of my readers. Fun, right?

My husband and I sat down to watch it this evening and our overall feelings on the movie were that while it probably wouldn’t appeal to a couple of adults sitting down to watch a flick, it would definitely be great for kids between the ages of 7-12 (my estimation) or as a movie to watch as a family with younger children. I know that our children probably would have loved this when they were in that age range!

Pirate’s Code kind of reminded me of the “Spy Kids” type movies, which my kids used to love.  The movie did have some funny bits, and some coy references to “Back to the Future” which we thought were clever, since it stars the lovable Christopher Lloyd.

To enter, simply leave a comment below letting me know what your favorite family-friendly movie is.

Enter for yourself, a friend, or your grandkids. Everyone is welcome!

Now, some details about the movie, and a trailer you can watch.

Released on DVD: June 2, 2015
Run Time: 91 Minutes
Genre: Adventure
Rating: NR
Ages: All (more suited to ages 7-12)

In this follow up to Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure, Mickey Matson is at it again; this time pitted against the evil Admiral Ironsides and his gang of pirates who are intent on destroying civilization. Their new invention, the Tesla Coil, is a weapon of mass destruction that will send an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) throughout the world, destroying every electronic device in existence. With the help of a secret organization, Mickey and his best friend Sully embark on a mission to stop the pirates from taking over a submarine and stealing the last part needed to complete their devastating weapon. If Admiral Ironsides succeeds in his plan, civilization will be sent back to the Stone Age. It’s a race against time, and the fate of the modern world hangs in the balance!
