Oh, the Giveaways!

I had so much fun with my Mother’s Day Giveaway, that I think I am also going to be holding a Spring Fling Giveaway soon. I am not quite sure what this giveaway will entail, so make sure to keep checking back. Who knows what goodies will end up being part of the prize package.   :)

The same day that I held my own giveaway, I was contacted by 5 Minutes For Mom to let me know that I had won a gift from *their* website, so that was really a fun surprise!

I won this precious little book, “Who Loves the Little Lamb?”, which will of course be for my grandbabies. We have to keep the love of reading going through to the next generations, right?

Today I was contacted by Myra from My Blessed Life to let me know that I had also won a $20 gift certificate from her Two Peas in a Pod Giveaway as well. Wow! Must be my lucky month!

Since I have had such wonderful luck lately, I wanted to put up a few giveaways today that I think you all will enjoy. I hope you take the time to enter, and of course, that you win. After you enter, make sure to take some time to read through these lovely blogs. After all, the contests are fun, but the effort these ladies put into their blogs are the real gems.   :)

Ok … here we go!

  1. Lisa Leonard Jewelry Giveaway: Brought to you by Heart and Home
  2. $50 Target Card Giveaway – from Unexpected Bliss
  3. Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 – from 5 Minutes for Mom (can I say, Wow!?)
  4. My Forever Child Jewelry Giveaway – from We Are That Family
  5. Children’s Book Giveaway – from 5 Minutes for Mom
  6. $25 Gift Card – from Giveaways 4 Mommy

Good luck, my friends! :)

P.S. Be looking for a blog tour with my friend, author Delia Latham soon. She has a giveaway for one of my lucky readers as well! Yay!

Mother’s Day Fun

Once again, my family out-did themselves when it came to Mother’s Day. Have I mentioned lately how blessed I am by my hubby and kids? :)

Mother’s Day started out with this gift from my hubby:

A very sweet card, a beautiful flower arrangement (including my favorite pink carnations!), and $70.00 to spend on … BOOKS! Cake books, fiction books, devotionals, whatever my heart desires. Woo hoo! My honey rocks. :)

Then my son Draylen came up the stairs bearing:

My Sister’s Keeper is amazing … but I haven’t watched August Rush yet. I will probably do that tonight.
He also gave me a coupon for a free massage. Yessssss! To top it off, Draylen went to iHop and picked up brunch and brought it home to me since I wasn’t feeling well. A vegetarian omelette with buttermilk pancakes. Yummm! Thanks, Draylen!

Lastly, this card from my daughter:

Now, I had to put this last because I have to tell you about this card. This thing is HUGE! It has to be at least 1-foot by 1-foot square, and when you open it up, it sings an adorably cute and silly song. My grandson Gavin came rushing into the house with it, and I swear it took up most of his upper body while he was holding it. LOL! Check it out next to the vase of flowers from Derek:

I really wanted you to hear this, so I made a video and uploaded it to my Facebook page. (If you aren’t already on my friends list, send me a friend request and I will add you!) While you listen to it, read the lyrics below. You may need to turn up your speakers. Gavin and I enjoyed this very much!! :)

Lyrics:

We wish you Happy Mother’s Day,
We love you lots today.
Well, we love you every day,
But even more today!

We love you more than hay,
More than a fish fillet,
More than a double latte,
Or a big ol’ manta ray!

Are we annoying you?
That’s what we’re s’posed to do!
Our song is almost through …
In fact, it’s done!

*talking*
Happy Mother’s Day!
We love you more than anything else in the whole world!
Even a big ol’ manta ray … hahahahaha!

I hope your day was filled with as much fun as mine was! :)

Happy Mother’s Day!
