My son Draylen and his friend Jesse (on guitar) entered the Colgate Country Showdown in Montana this year. They made it all the way to the finals, so I thought I would share their journey with you. I am so proud of the boys, and hope you enjoy their performances!
Please forgive the quality of some of these videos, but there was a lot of movement and boot stomping while the boys were singing, and it made it hard to keep the camera still, even on a tri-pod!
Tryouts were held in the foyer of the Kalispell Center Mall. Song: “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”
The Semi-Finals:
The semi-finals were held at the Majestic Valley Arena. Song: “Chicken Fried”.
The Finals:
Again at the Majestic Valley Arena, the boys had to do two songs. The first one they started out with was “Chicken Fried” from the night before. The second song they did was “If You’re Reading This”.
