Dr. Scholl’s For Her – Not A Good Fit

As part of a new BzzCampaign, I was sent a package of Dr. Scholl’s For Her High Heel Insoles to try out. Unfortunately for me, they were not a very good fit.

I have read rave reviews from others about this product, so I was excited to give them a whirl. For me though, they just were not a good fit at all. They made my shoes feel tight, and the little gel pack felt like a lump under my foot. I have a couple of thoughts about why this might be, but they are just my own personal theories …

1.) The package states: “Fits comfortably in heels 2″ and up”.

I don’t believe my heels were two inches, and if they were, they were *barely* there. I’m not a 4″ heel type of gal. I prefer to feel like I can still walk in my heels, and that I am not going to topple over at any moment. ;) Maybe my heels weren’t high enough for them to work correctly for the way they were designed.

2.) The package states: “Women’s Sizes 6-10″.

Maybe I am over-thinking this, but how can a product that is meant to fit a size 6 (or in my case, a size 7) possibly work the same, and fit the same, as someone who wears a size 10? You would think this would cause it to fit either too big or too small for some shoes, while being perfect for say a size 8; right smack dab in the middle.

I’ve found the same issue with socks; they say they fit size 6-10, but in all reality, they are usually too big for my size 7 feet. Who wants baggy socks? Not me. They don’t size shoes that way, so why do they size socks (and shoe products) that way? Doesn’t make much sense to me.

With all that being said, the Dr. Scholl’s For Her High Heel Insoles might work for someone who has higher heels or larger feet, but for me, they simply were not comfortable.

I appreciate being part of this BzzCampaign (thank you, BzzAgent!), and being sent this product to review but sadly, this product is a “thumbs-down” for me.

Have you tried them? If so, what did you think?

  1. I love these in my boots. But they are 3 inch heels. I tried them in my cut off boots and they have a lower heel and it didn’t feel right for me. So I think it does affect it if the heel is shorter than 2 inches. You are also right about the size too. I wish they would have made them just a bit smaller cause I wear a size 6.5/7.
