2015 Neighborhood Fire – Part I

Here are a few of the photos from the fire right down the street from us today.

I want to thank the men and women from the numerous fire departments in various cities that came out to respond, and get this under control. Your community appreciates you! (If any of my local friends recognize any of the firefighters, please let me know so I can name them personally.)

More to come later ….

Thanks, Mom. I took about 800+ photos, and I know that many of them didn’t come out because of all the smoke, but that’s why I kept snapping. Takes a lot to get a few that are good in situations like these!

Wow that’s crazy. Your pictures are beautiful. I will be in prayer for your community and your neighbors. I pray they are able to completely put the fires out. ((hugs))

Thanks, Dianna. According to the news, 3 homes and some outbuildings were lost. It tried to jump the main road, but the firefighters were able to put those small fires out quickly, so it was contained to the other side. Fires are out now, but the crews are going to be there through the weekend pouring water on it and making sure everything is good.

Love you too, Mary! No AC in our house, lol, but we did have to close it up for a while to keep all of the smoke and ash from infiltrating. Air seems pretty clear today.
